The Western Cape has a Meditteranean climate which means that it enjoys warm summers and mild winters. Average hours of sun reaches 14 per day in summer with temperatures in the range of 15°C (50°F) to 27°C (81°F). In winter temperatures average between 7°C (44°F) to 22°C (71°F).

The months of July and August are when we receive the winter rains, generally for only a couple of days at a time before clearing up and our wonderful sunshine returns, rivalling the best of a British summer.
